From 10 AM to 4 PM
We’re thrilled to have Gail Fournier, our current ECS President and an experienced calligrapher, for this month’s Mentor Meetup focused on hard‑tip brush lettering. Gail’s clear instruction and encouraging teaching style make this technique both accessible and exciting, whether you’re brand new to brush lettering or looking to refine your strokes. This session is beginner‑friendly and perfect for anyone looking to expand their lettering skills with a tool that gives you beautiful letterforms with thick and thin strokes.
Time: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Meeting Type: In person.
Join us for a dynamic and hands‑on Mentor Meetup where we’ll explore hard‑tip brush lettering, a pressure and release lettering style that allows you to create beautiful letters. Gail will guide you through foundational strokes, pressure control, and letterform structure. It’s a hands‑on, creative session designed to help you build confidence in forming the seven basic strokes used to create the letters. You’ll spend time looking at letter and word spacing and do a few creative projects at the end of the class.
Gail Fournier, our current ECS President and experienced calligrapher, will be leading this session. Gail is known for her clear instruction, warm encouragement, and deep love of lettering. This class is designed for beginners who have little or no experience with brush lettering.
